Yesterday I applied for a job at Keplar Agency. On their website it was stated that if you would send them a message via e-mail you'd have to include a poem. So I wrote and included the one underneath. My question to you is, would you hire me? The function is as a copywriter and can be found back on their website.

Always take
your pen with you
Just in your hand or your head
Take a look around the world
And simply take a small Copy
Write
fearlessly and with ease
Don't strain your muscles
While you discover things and thoughts
Because injury we can all do Without
Everywhere
you go
You see something new
And you'll see once you're free
That there is no more left or Right
So Stuff
takes on new shapes
And you are not the same
As you were yesterday
Isn't that Interesting?
Of course,
you will change
No matter what you think or do
But when you use your brain
You determine the Terrain
'Magic',
some might say
But I think it's quite rational
Put your pen on the map
And set sail to meet your Equals
Evolves: the
world evolves around you
But some exit the atmosphere and
revolve
Around the world, only they can come
And make the perfect Ring
Dear ...,
Worshipping
words is what I do all day and every day. And even though my love for
these letter arrangements comes without limits, I sometimes also like
to whip words and put them where I think they belong.
Writing
has always been a passion I feel very strongly about. It's a skill I
have ardently trained and developed by simply doing it a lot. I've
written a travel journal of two-hundred pages in a month, filled
several blogs with my blurbs, created hundreds of poems, reported for
VICE Media and I am nowhere near finished with putting my last words
on paper. I am not the kind of person who can easily sit at home and
be content with the world around him. Things have to change, things
have to be written down.
Words
have power. The sophists in Old Greece knew it, George Orwell knew it
and this knowledge has not gone to waste: we still know it. Words
create worlds and have the power to move people. How we use words
determines who we are, what we do and what we feel. The better you
adapt to your verbal environment the more apt you are to play an
important role in it. It's a simple matter of survival. In this
joyful struggle I come equipped with the power to persuade, the
energy to empathize and the persistence to push forward.
I
believe that together with Keplar Agency I can discover and go beyond
existing borders. Last year I have acquired a lot of professional
writing experience in my internship at VICE. In my work as a
freelancer for MO Group International I have learned to become a
copywriter who can cope with wishes, demands and deadlines. Currently
I am looking for a new challenge in an environment that values
creativity and commitment. I hope your agency can provide this.
What
I will bring with me is a critical eye that is easily able to spot
quality. I am very social, always open for critique and most critical
of my own work. I learn fast and I always try to excel in the things
I do. I am able to keep track of long-term goals even though I keep
track of each and every detail along the way.
I
hope the above has been able to convince you to invite me for a
personal job interview. I would really like to hear from you.
